Blaming Pinterest...

So, I recently did something that I completely blame Pinterest for...Well, and Toy Story.

So, I was just moseying around Pinterest, minding my own business, when I see a pin...

And it was so cute, I just couldn't help but dig out my old pair of boots and give it a try! (And by "dig" out my old boots, I mean grab them from my closet. lol) 

First: Grab your boots, some cotton balls, rubbing alcohol, and a fat tipped sharpie marker. 

   

Next, your going to clean the bottom of your right boot with the alcohol, like so...

Once your boot is good and clean, and I mean really clean, you can't have any dirt on there if you want this to work. Anyway, once you clean your boot, your going to grab your sharpie and draw an "A", then a backwards "N", then an "D", and a "Y"...Do ya know what that spells? ANDY!!!! :D

It should come out looking like this....

And there you have it! A Toy Story boot! :D

I'M SO SORRY!!!!

OMG guys! OMG!

I didn't realize it had been months since I had posted anything. 

I'M SO SORRY!! 

Forgive me? Pretty please? 

So, I'm guess it's time I update you guys on what's been up, huh? lol

Not a whole lot really. 

I've been doing school....And I feel like I can almost see the Oh-my-gosh-your-finally-done! party lights at the end of the tunnel! 

I've still got my braces. (And have no idea when I'm getting them off :/) But no more expander! Woot woot!! *raises roof* 

I've been doing little things here and there, like spending time with my cousins, having some super amazingly awesome girl-night's with my Angie (Yes, I have claimed you as my own now, deal with it ;) lol), babysitting (Which I love doing :D).

...

And, I've kinda, shorta started wearing make-up...Which is something I never really thought about until now.  But whatever. I'm seventeen, it's high time I started acting more like a girl. lol

...

So I think that's it for now. 

I promise I will try not to take months to post something next time, I swear!

I'm  sorry, but this one seems kinda weird to me...How can you be thankful for a fear or disappointment?
Maybe after I read Amy's I'll get an idea of what this one should mean?

The Alice series by Phyllis Reynold Naylor
 Their a really good series of books, and they really turned me on to reading.
 

23. a feeling

Ok, so I'm going with this meaning a 'physical' feeling instead of an 'emotional' feeling, so...
I know this is probably weird...But, I feeling of being cuddled/cuddling something. Maybe that's why I love hugs, and I sleep cuddled up to a body pillow?

I'm so thankful for warm water and electricity!

Because, it was a gift that my dad got me, and I love it! :)

My parents bed.
It's where we all gather in the mornings on the weekend, it's where we all try to pile in the bed to watch tv, or anything like that.

My family and friends.

11. a tradition

Every Christmas morning, my brother and I get up at six in the morning, then go wake up my mom and dad. 

It's something we did ever since I was little.

My camera.

I think that one is pretty self explanatory...

I've had it since I was a baby.

 Ok, my room isn't really 'new' but, it's been redone, so it counts! lol

My Maw's Chicken and Dumplings, and My Nanny's Potato Salad.

Two of my favorite things...Their so yummy! But, no one makes it like they do.

16. an experience

Getting my drivers license.

That was a big thing for me, and I'm thankful I passed the test and got it!

I love Target. It's one of my favorite stores.

30 Day's Of Thankful Challenge: Part 1

So, Amy started a "30 Days Of Thankful Challenge".....And, I decided to try it....Let's see how this goes. 

1. a person

My dad.

 He's crazy, funny, goofy, loving, and 99% of the time  he knows how to make me smile or laugh when I'm upset.

2. an animal

 My Brownie.

He's a sweetie....When he's not barking.

3. a cozy place in your home.

My messy bed.

It's so warm and comfy, it's the perfect place to relax.

4. a favorite snack

Pineapple! I love Fresh Pineapple. 

5. a place

 Anywhere my family is.

6. a pair of shoes

 Um...Any of these! Their so comfy, and I love that they come in different colors. 

7. a scent

 Perfume.

 Any kind of perfume, and the smell of make-up. 

They both remind me of my Grandmothers. :)

8. a restaurant

I love Chick Fil-a!

 And when I say love, I mean I LOOOOVE! Chick Fil-a!

Their food is so yummy. Plus, I'm all about supporting fellow Christians. :)

Project Bedroom....

Hello boys and girls!

Welcome to the story of my long awaited bedroom remodel!

So, some years ago my dad started remodeling our house a little bit. Not anything major, just replacing the old blue carpet with laminate flooring and painting the walls, things like that. So, my room and my brothers room are the only ones in the house that haven't been redone......

.....Until now...:)

So, it started with packing. 

Now I, like most people probably do, thought "Packing? No big deal. I just need some boxes to put everything in and I'll be golden. Won't talk long at all." 

Yeah right, biggest understatement on the year! 

First off, I have a ton of stuff. It's hard to imagine how much stuff one could have in a room as small as mine. Not that my room is tiny or anything, but it's not big by any means. 

Second off: I, like other people in my family (Dad, Johnny.), have a slight case of OCD. I could not deal with putting my books, and movies into boxes unless I knew they weren't going to get messed up. And lets not even get started on how out of order my books were when my brother started just putting them into a box! He didn't even keep them in order! UGH!

All I can say is, I'm not looking forward to unpacking....:/

So this is where I'm sleeping now....

At lest I get to sleep in my bed.....

Right, moving on.....

I've had the color I wanted to paint my room picked out of awhile now, and I finally picked a color for the flooring....

They started painting my room, here's what it looks like now! :)

(The color is called Ocean Whisper.)

And I'm just going to say this...(even though I know he doesn't read my blog but).....You were wrong Jerry!!! I love the color!!!

Sorry, my cousin said some things....Lets not get into that right now....lol

Next came the flooring, I picked a darker color than what my dad has in the rest of the house. It's call "Vera Mahogany"

So, here's my room after they put in the flooring.

 
 It's safe to say I'm in love....Just kidding....
....

 My dad still has to paint the closet door.

But, as soon as that's done, there isn't anything else to do! YAY!

Blah! School!

I've been neglecting you little blog, and for that I am sorry.

For days I've been trying to come up with something to write about....But, I keep coming up blank.....

I guess I could tell you how school is going...Well, it's going.....And going....It seems like all I do anymore is school work.

It's my last year, so I've got a heavy load of work, and it's beginning to become stressful again......I know I'm not behind on my work, seeing as I started the end of last month. But, I feel like I should be halfway through the school year by now.

It feels like I'm never going to get done, like this year is going to last forever....And the thing is, this year is shorter, if anything.

In order to attend my Graduation, I have to be done by the beginning of May.......

I just need to remember to tell myself, that every day I do school, I'm a day closer to Graduation.......

.....I can't wait until I'm actually there........Finally.
 

 

Season's Come......And Season's Go.....

It's almost time to say goodbye to summer, yet again.

The once warm days are getting cool, acorns are falling from the trees, the leaves will be changing soon, if they aren't already.

Gone will be the days of wearing shorts and filp-flops, and bright colors.

Instead you will be wearing jeans and sweaters, and there will be Burnt Orange's, and Browns, and any other colors that you find in the fall. 

Even though I will miss the summer......I absolutely love Autumn.

I love watching the Leaves change, I love the cooler weather, I love Thanksgiving. 

I just love the Fall! :)

Senior Blues......

So my last year of school is starting soon......Yay, I guess.

I know I should be excited, and don't get me wrong, I am. But, I'm also scared, sad, and have no clue what I'm going to do after it's over......I go from being happy, to so stressed I want to pull out my hair, to wanting to cry.....All in about ten seconds. As I'm typing this I'm crying, can anyone say 'Emotional mess'?

I don't know if that's normal, heck I don't think I ever know what is normal.......It's not like I'm getting ship off to some school in a different state, I'll still be at home....I'll have to get a job, because as of right now I don't want to go to collage, and I don't feel like I'll ever want too. I'd rather work, and make money, than have to suffer through another four+ years of school.

I just want to cry, and I want someone to hold me and tell me it's Okay to be scared of graduating, and that it's okay to cry. To grieve something that's been part of my life for 12 years, (13 if you count kindergarten....)

 

But.....I feel like no one would understand what I'm going through.......

It's just hard to imagine something you've been working toward for years, something you've been wanting, is so close you can almost touch it.....And suddenly, you don't want it anymore. You want it to go away, just for a little while. So you can be a teenager without a care in the world for just awhile longer.....Before you have to become an adult. 

I don't want to be an adult yet. I want to be a sixteen year old......I just really want to be just a sixteen year old. Not a sixteen year old who's graduating next June.

Oh my gosh guys! I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to finish this, I've been super busy! OK, so here we go, day 30

 I'm not even going to try to come up with 10 things, that would be way to hard. But, I'm going to say, I'd like people to remember me however they want. If we've had good times together, remember those, if we've had bad times, remember that. Just remember it all, the good, the bad, the happy, the sad, the beautiful, the ugly......Just remember it all, and know that whatever 'version' of me you remember, that's who I really am.


I'm the girl that will still laugh at something that's happened months, or years, ago.
I'm the girl who still wants her daddy whenever shes sick.
I'm the girl who still tears up whenever she thinks about when he brother moved out, even though it's been almost four years.
I'm the girl who's afraid of the dark. (Yes, at 16 I still sleep with a nightlight.)

I don't really have a 'favorite' part, I have a lot that I don't like......But, let's not get into that. lol

I'd have to say my favorite part of my body is my eyes. If you look close enough their a bunch of different colors....Ok, my eyes are *not* rainbow colored. Their green, but around my pupil is dark brown, and around the outer edge of my eyes are a dark color too. And I think their pretty. :D

I'm not sure if this falls under the category or not, but, I think that the idea that it's Ok to have sex and get pregnant before marriage is wrong. 

 

I believe you should be married before you do any of that.

Because it effects everyone, even the teenage girls who don't do that get asked "Are you pregnant?" and I think that's wrong......Ok, ok. I'm going to stop this here before I go on a rant,
